Driving to another country

Last Sunday I left with three other English teachers and 49 French students in a bus to England. We drove from 10:30am until 11pm when we arrived in Caen to take a boat across the Channel. The six hour boat ride made some students sick during the night, and then once we landed we started exploring Portsmouth. We ate a traditional English breakfast at a pub and then had McDonald's for lunch (hmm not very English) and spent the rest of the day seeing the sights, like Spinnaker Tower and the Gunwharf Quay shopping district and the beach with its "castle". Then at night in the blizzard snow we sent the students off with their families and Christianne and I went with the Maxwell-Cox family into their Victorian home in Havant for a nice dinner of shepherd's pie. After they asked if I wanted to watch a Jane Austen film and I was exhausted besides the fact that I thought they meant Jane Austin, the workout instructor!
