My Masters Man

I could tell Chris was nervous as I dropped him off at the ceremony to meet with the rest of his family because he was worrying about being late and he couldn't get his crazy hood right. His family on the other hand was more relaxed, giving hugs hello and making jokes, and we arrived just as the "Pomp and Circumstance" started playing and the graduates marched in. The made it into 2 ceremonies this year because so many people were graduating. Chris was with the PT Doctorates, and the Masters and Bachelors of the business, health, and public administration fields. The guest speaker was about as good as last year's that went on about oranges and apples, this year it was analogies to construction and saying the next generation should be called innovation. Jon and I couldn't help but chuckle at how ridiculous his speech was and hope that he didn't major in communications. Afterwards we all gave Chris hugs and congratulations and took photos in front of the arena before heading off to brunch at my favorite...Wolfgang's. It was nice to have everyone together; joking in French with Lem, Kathryn and I trying to learn this hand trick Chris' grandma tried to teach us, Chris' dad explaining to the waitress that the spoon was his and he wasn't stealing one, and Will's tie matching his coffee mug. After all that we needed a nap before going out for a night at the B.O.B. (see photos in next entry). It was a wonderful way to celebrate all the stress and work being over and that Chris and I are back together again.
