A Case of the Mondays

Maybe its because its back to school for all after a long vacation, but the day definitely feels like a Monday. After going back to the Mairie for the millionth time for my carte de sejour, actually just a part of the process-for my recipissage so that I can later go to Lyon for another part of the process, I waited in a huge line for over a half an hour for the lady to tell me that I shoudl never come on a Monday morning because they don't have time to get the mail. Basically she couldn't give me something that was supposed to be here a week ago because it is in their mailbox at the Prefecture next door and they haven't picked it up yet. SO I have to go back and wait in line again another day, and I thought the Secretary of State was bad!! Also this morning I went to get my laundry which most of it was drying on the wooden unused desks in the Internat's laundry room because the drying rack was full, and it turns out the wooden desks stain my clothes brown, so I know have brown stains on my white undies and tank top and socks, ew! And finally the other case of the Mondays moment was when I was talking with someone about French Christmas traditions, her stating that having a Christmas tree and a turkey dinner with the family was a very typical French tradition, and I said that I am staying in France for Christmas to see the traditions and that Chris is coming to visit and that I can't wait because it has already been over a month since I have seen him. And she said oh well Christmas is still two months away. Well thanks lady, like I didn't realize that I still had a ways to go, that makes it seem so much better! I then tried to print a few pages for my upcoming lessons, and the printer decided to go on strike, and then I waited around the school for hours for my next two classes which it turns out were cancelled. Well at least I now ave free time to fight with the printer!
