Aix les Bains

I was a bit worried when Heather and I arrived in Aix's train station whether or not I had chosen a good city to take Kathy to. But it turned out our three star hotel was wonderful, Hotel Astoria, and right next to the Office de Tourisme and Cures Thermales so we could easily grab a map and get a massage. We made our appointment for a massage for the next afternoon so we could see Chambéry and Annecy which were nearby and then went took the free bus (the hotel gave us passes) to see Lac du Bourget, the largest natural lake in France. We got there just at sunset making the sky a pretty pink but my favorite part was the lines following the panes above the cliffs (I know its exhaust and pollution but don't spoil my fun). Kathy and I also ate a good meal in Café Leffe with a really "posh ambiance" and Kathy even tried a bite of my mussles in a garlic mushroom cream sauce, "moules forestière" but she didn't like them.
